And it is with deep regret that we must delay the hunt.
We aren’t cancelling, but due to the server going down, a lot of snags happened. And sadly, we lost four puzzles due to them either being broken by the server, or compromised because a few players were able to see them.
In the end, we have decided to postpone the hunt for a week and create a few new puzzles to replace some of the original ones.
I know there must be a lot of questions, but we have been up until the wee hours of the night and finally came to a decision to deliver a good finale, as opposed to a hackneyed one, and so this post will be short.
Let me answer some questions though:
Will I be able to play the game?
Yes. We will turn the server back on for people to play the game and the daily puzzles.
Will I be able to play the replaced puzzles?
Any puzzle broken or compromised will be put on the server for you to see. We want everyone to experience our puzzles, so we will make them available. However, they will be bonus puzzles only, and have no prize associated with them.
What about the people with partial progress of the finale?
We have not come to a decision on that. For now, when the Finale starts anew, it will be puzzles no one has seen.
What time will the new Finale be?
We are aiming for Saturday, March 10th, 12:00pm EST.
Again, my deepest apologies this has occurred. I hope you can be patient with us. It breaks my heart because we were so excited for the finale and then…tech issues. We will do our utmost to bring a final experience to you that is most excellent.
